ACCOMMODATION

Copenhagen has many accommodation options. Families with kids may want to find an Airbnb. There are also lots of hotels nearby. We've made a list of some recommended hotels below.

ATTIRE

We'd like to see you dressed up! Wear your favorite party attire that feels fun and festive.

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors (unless it's raining!)  so bring a warm jacket as April in Copenhagen can be unpredictable! Check the weather in advance!

Note, in Denmark it's uncommon to wear scarlet red, white, or black at weddings. Also, If the Danes are curious, Amy's dress will be long 💃

LOCATION

All events will take place at the same venue

BRØNDSALEN AT THE ROYAL DANISH HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

BRØNDSALEN DET KONGELIG DANSKE HAVESELSKAB

GETTING THERE

From outside of Denmark, it's easiest to fly to Copenhagen Airport (CPH). The venue is in the center of Copenhagen in an area called Fredericksberg. There's a quick and easy metro from the airport to central Copenhagen.

The venue is a 10 minute walk from two metro stations - Frederiksberg Alle or Frederiksberg. It's also within walking distance of many hotels and airbnbs. You can also bike, bus, or taxi to the venue. There are no Ubers or Lyft in Denmark. There is no parking at the venue, you would have to find parking nearby if you choose to drive.

SPEECHES & ENTERTAINMENT

At danish weddings, guests contribute speeches, songs, and entertainment during the wedding and we would love to see this at our wedding. There can be as many as 15 speech/songs/games at danish weddings which is why the dinner part of the evening is much longer than an American wedding.

If you would like to speak, contribute in another way, or just learn more about the options, contact the toastmasters

CHILDREN

We understand many of you would like to travel with your children. Your kids may join in festivities during the week and can join the ceremony, but we are not including kids at the dinner and dancing portion of the wedding (from 5:00pm/17:00 onward). For those traveling from the US, we have a list of recommended babysitters in Copenhagen, please let us know if you are interested!
